All these wonderful pictures right around my childhood home! The rock that monster’s sitting is known (to us anyways) as Elephant’s Bum, next time you’re up that way take a look head on and you should see the “tail” (moss growing through a crack that makes it look like a large elephant’s bum) LOL Further up you’ll see the upside down trees, another fav of mine!

Hi Heather – that is a trolley car track that brings you down to the boathouse. Also doubles as the Butlers elevator -lol

Stunning…though I’m with Jenn…wouldn’t dream of trying to walk down to the boat house…
So many beautiful properties in the area…
Look closely at the boat house…just above the steeple is what looks like a ladder…now that is even more scary to me! :0)

Leslie I think you are referring the old Ferndale resort property. Yes its massive. I have photographed that place many times during its construction. One really needs to see it from the air to appreciate its grandeur

you should check out the old Keswick place on Rosseau. It belongs to Mattamy Homes. it makes this place look like a dwarf.

I am amazed at the size of some of these places. You sure can’t be feeble, either.
I sprained my ankle in Lake Superior Park. A root. Really. I wouldn’t make it down to the lake at this property!
