I was amazed to see the photos of the former Glen Home Hotel. I was a cook there in the summer of 1973. I was only 17 and it was a great summer. I cooked on the the very stoves you have pictured. Paul Love ran the hotel which I believe had been built by either his grandfather or father. It was strange to see them rusted in a heap. I set out to find info about the hotel on the iternet a little too late! Thanks for the post. It was rather a final note to a fond memory. I have never been back to Muskoka but if all the wonderful old homes I saw during my time in Muskoka have gone the same way then it is indeed a crime. Very short sighted indeed.
